What is the difference between Plasma and LCD Tvs
Both have excellent picture quality but Plasma TVs generally have a softer image and provide a better TV viewing picture. Plasma TVs give a better wide angle view and can display blacks more accurately than LCDs can, which means better contrast and detail in dark-coloured television or movie scenes. Plasma TVs are slightly cheaper for comparable sizes.

Should I buy electronics online?
Yes, there are multiple reasons to support this answer. In many cases you will not have to pay tax on your purchase, this can add up on a high dollar purchase. You can get many items shipped to your house for free, this is great for TV purchases. There are some lower quality merchants out there – we only recommend high quality merchants so you are safe ordering through our site. We research each merchant and remove companies that we hear issues about. If you do find a price that is too good to be true, it probably is. You can always Google the merchant in question. In store pickup is another great innovation; it saves lots of time searching for items in store, plus you can often avoid lines.

Is it worth moving to High Definition and why should I?
High Definition (HD) is amazing. There is a huge difference watching HD over standard definition (SD). The picture quality difference is unreal and everyone who sees it comments on the quality. There are a growing numbers of HD sources available now. Cable providers and satellite providers offer more HD channels daily. Blu-ray is the dominant storage source for HD content, movies and video games are readily available. You can even download HD content from the web if you have a good internet connection. With all this content available now is the time to move to HD.

Do you need an upconverting DVD player?
If you have a TV that displays 720p or better is worth investing in an up converting DVD player. It will increase the picture quality of your existing DVDs to match or come close to the quality your TV supports. Many people are not ready to move to blu-ray so this is a good substitute. Most of the current HD disc players do a good job of upconverting so if you have an HD-DVD or blu-ray drive you do not need one. One cheap solution is to purchase a cheap HD-DVD player to use for upconverting. Due to HD-DVD losing the format battle many players are available cheaply. We also recommend the Oppo DV-980H DVD player as an excellent upconverting player.
